The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) announced Jan. 19 that it has named LGS Innovations CEO Kevin Kelly chair of the Technology and Innovation Council.
“As a longtime council member with extensive senior leadership experience, Mr. Kelly understands how INSA and its member organizations can best support innovation initiatives that bring government, industry and academia together,” INSA President Chuck Alsup said. “I want to thank Mr. Kelly for his willingness to take on this important responsibility and for his enthusiastic support over the years. LGS Innovations is a terrific partner and has been incredibly generous in affording Mr. Kelly the opportunity to lead the Technology and Innovation Council.”
“An exchange of ideas and close collaboration is essential to science and innovation, which in turn is essential to maintaining the information and technology advantage of our armed forces,” Kelly said. “INSA’s work is critical to the security of our country. Those of us working with the defense and intelligence communities must continue to find ways to invest in and encourage the sciences and R&D that address tough technology challenges or we risk a widespread decline in current and future innovations initiatives.”
