Alcatel-Lucent 5650 Control Plane Assurance Manager (CPAM)
The Alcatel-Lucent 5650 Control Plane Assurance Manager (CPAM) delivers real-time visualization, surveillance and troubleshooting for IP/MPLS networks and services. Agencies and organizations benefit from route analytics that simplify IP / MPLS control plane management, reduced problem escalation, and accelerated service-problem resolution.
Tightly integrated with the Alcatel-Lucent 5620 Service Aware Manager (SAM), the 5650 CPAM helps minimize multivendor control plane misconfigurations, malfunctions, and undetected routing updates. The 5650 CPAM uses control plane information from the Alcatel-Lucent 7701 Control Plane Assurance Appliance (CPAA), or virtualized CPAA (vCPAA) for environments leveraging virtualization. The 7701 CPAA is a route listening/processing device that non-intrusively participates in routing plane signaling.
The 5650 CPAM provides scalable, proactive routing analysis and control plane assurance for IGP, BGP, MPLS and Layer 2/3 services. Optional features include the 5650 CPAM Route Cause and Impact Analysis (RCIA) application, 5650 Multicast Manager Application (MMA), and support for OSS integration.
