Herndon, VA – November 20, 2018 – LGS Innovations (LGS), a technology company providing specialized mission-critical communication research and solutions, recently announced that it has been selected to support the integration of information operations payloads into unmanned aerial vehicles used by the Navy and U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM).

Through this $15,528,008 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, LGS will provide engineering services, materials, training, and testing for SOCOM in Colorado, New Jersey, and Maryland. This two-year contract includes a three-year option period that would bring its cumulative value to $34,996,905.

Over the past several years, LGS has provided services to support the missions of the Navy and SOCOM through a variety of contracting vehicles. This newly-awarded IDIQ contract will provide the Navy and SOCOM a more streamlined method to contract with LGS.

“We’re proud that our previous work supporting the missions of the Navy and SOCOM has led to a dedicated contracting vehicle for LGS,” said Dr. Jay Moorman, Group President of Wireless Solutions at LGS. “We are looking forward to providing a full range of solutions to further enhance our ability to meet our customers’ mission needs.”

LGS’s work is expected to be completed by October 16, 2020. If the option period is exercised, the period of performance would extend through October 16, 2023. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific is the contracting activity.
