The OmniSwitch family of products is changing the way the U.S. Federal Government works and communicates. As voice and data come together, OmniSwitch products encompass the most advanced line of switching and routing platforms that support the same operating system, the same software and feature set, and the same network management. This product line meets the most stringent and mission critical networking requirements for the access layer, the distribution layer and the core layer.

OmniSwitch Series switches use both copper-based and fiber-based optical Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers or Industrial Small Form Factor Pluggable (ISFP) transceivers. SFPs are fully hot-swappable and are available for both short-reach and long-reach applications. Copper-based and fiber-based optical SFPs can be mixed on the same module. Additionally, Industrial SFPs are designed to operate at an increased temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees Fahrenheit) to 85 degrees Celsius (185 degrees Fahrenheit). Copper-based and fiber-based optical SFPs can be mixed on the same module.
