James Cocito

James Cocito is Vice President of Alcatel-Lucent’s Customer Care Center of Excellence, which is focused on providing technical support and repair services to customers. As part of this, he is also responsible for the Global Program Management office, which has process, platform and training support for the Worldwide Program Management community. 

Mr. Cocito previously served as Alcatel-Lucent Chief Compliance Officer, supervising the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the compliance and ethics program that reflects current and evolving legal requirements and international standards. Other prior positions include Chief Operating Officer of the Americas Region of Alcatel-Lucent, Chief Operating Officer of the Global Sales and Marketing Segments of Lucent Technologies, and Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Lucent’s INS business unit.

Mr. Cocito joined Bell Laboratories in June 1980. He has had a wide range of leadership positions with AT&T and Lucent in the areas of sales, finance, product management, financial planning, supply chain management, asset management, customer relations and contract management.

Mr. Cocito has an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a B.S. from New York University. He also is an alumnus of the Wharton Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
